The Stanford Chaparral has been published continuously since 1899, and since 1906 by the Hammer & Coffin Society. The Hammer & Coffin Society built this site and published a book in 2024 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Chappie.

This site features every one of Chappie's nearly 1,000 covers, plus hundreds of PDFs of full issues. Click on the linked dates to see an index for each decade. Click on the covers to see a larger version of the same image.
